Following a twenty-year career in the publishing business, Ms. LeMaire has returned to the world of art with a passion for painting, especially in pastel and oil. For pastel it is the immediacy of the medium and the luminescent quality it yields with color and shadow. For oil it is the liquidity of the medium, the way it blends. The luminescence, the blending these are her trademarks. Nature and the local landscape provide much of the inspiration for her paintings with further inspiration coming from her travels, especially to the Western states.
Ms. LeMaire is an active member of the Artists Circle, Artists Equity, Delaware Valley Art League, French Creek Art Colony, Network and other critique and art groups. A member of area art associations, where she has earned multiple awards, she also participates in a variety of festivals throughout the region.
She exhibits in juried, invitational, solo, and group shows in Southeastern Pennsylvania including the Z-Gallery, the Strodes Mill Gallery, the annual Artists Circle exhibition, the Oxford Arts Alliance, the Penn Medical Centers, West Chester Friends, and others. In addition, Ms. LeMaire remains active having curated several art shows, the most recent being at Kendal at Longwood. Her work appears in numerous private collections throughout the country; she is represented by Strodes Mill Gallery in West Chester. Contact her at
