After turning to fine art in 2003, Jill Banks dove in head first and has been up to her elbows in paint ever since. Jill paints like a pig eats. (Voraciously.) Her life as a painter is far from dull. She's set up her easel in towns and farms far and wide. Spent three days in her NYC hotel room shower equipped with floor to ceiling windows capturing sunrise to sunset in the city. Painted in Paris, Florence, Madrid, Monterey CA and at a nearby farm. Days are filled with adventure: exploring places, enjoying meeting the people (and creatures) in them, capturing the world as she finds it at that moment. She lives outside of her comfort zone and likes it there. In 2015, she'll be participating in Telluride Plein Air and Wayne Plein Air (Wayne, PA). In both, she'll work to capture the spirit of these places, live. Her work was featured 3x on the cover of élan Magazine. Jill's paintings have also appeared in American Art Collector, Southwest Art, Fine Art Connoisseur, and the Washington Post.
