Carrie was born and raised in Northeastern Maryland, near the Susquehanna River and Chesapeake Bay. In 1994, she graduated from the Maryland Institute, College of Art. She has worked as technical illustrator and art director for the federal government and private corporations. As a freelance illustrator her work has been published in environmental and educational textbooks. Her commissioned portraits are in collections throughout the United States, and Europe. She is currently creating plein air oil painting landscapes of the Brandywine Valley area.
