I Have been working in the arts seriously since 1980. Studied at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in the certificate program where I was awarded a Special Notice in Printmaking and have done workshops with many well known artists such as Rob Liberace, Nelson Shanks and Daniel Sprick. I have been in many juried shows in the Tri State area and won awards. Participated in the Rittenhouse Square Art show in Philadelphia the Immaculata and the Arc shows of Chester County. Have shown in the DCCA limited group shows and in The Peoples Fine Art Gallery in Exton and most recently at The Film Brothers in Wilmington De participating in a Figurative Show.
I have been published in The Hundred Artists of The Brandywine book representing the Delaware Art Museum Open Figure Group. Have participated in the Brandywine Valley Plein Air 2011 and 2012 ,2013 and in Paint The Town West Chester 2012, 2013 and 2014 and 2013 participated in The Historic New Castle De Plein Air. Have shown in the Chester County Art Center and The Community Art Center In both Juried and Members Shows! This year participated in a two person show with my Husband: his Photographs and my Figures at The Darley Art Center in Claymont De. Most recently, one of my figures won a second place in the Community Art Center of Wallingford Pa Members show 2013 and second place 2014.
My medium of choice is pastel; but I also do Oils, hand pulled woodcuts and mixed media!
My subjects are mostly Plein Air, Still life and above all else The Figure!
