Mr. Conner is a graduate of Wesleyan University where he took art courses and a graduate of Harvard University from which he received an MBA. He is self-taught and believes an artist‘s work should speak for itself.
Mr. Conner began photographing three and a half years ago during a backpacking trip to the Grand Tetons with his daughter, who is a photographer in NYC. He quickly became an expert in camera techniques and Photo Shop CS6. Since then he has become an award winning photographer who has traveled and photographed worldwide. He uses Canon equipment that he carries in a photography backpack wherever he goes.
In 2014, he photographed gorgeous panoramas of Iceland where he backpacked for eight days. This past year he shot in Montreal, Charleston, Aspen, Nantucket and Miami Beach. In addition, he shot portfolios of Tuscany and Paris while living in Europe for six weeks. He is fluent in French.
Two years ago, Mr. Conner entered four shows and won Best in Show twice, First Place and Second Place: four shows; four awards. This past year he won over a dozen awards. A year ago his image was selected from over 2,000 entries from 19 countries to be in the International Compé 15 exhibition featuring 37 photographers. He also won Second Place at the Philadelphia Sketch Club from over 300 painters and photographers for an abstract piece titled Donetsk. The PSC is the oldest club for artists in America and the show is the most prestigious abstract art show in Philadelphia. This year, Mr. Conner became a Professional Art Member of the Main Line Art Center after a juried portfolio review.
