Virtual Gallery Opening App

This year our event will be virtual in place of our physical Opening Reception.  We will launch the Plein Air Brandywine Valley Virtual Gallery App on September 25th for our sponsors, patrons, and the public at large.  This exciting new app was developed specifically for CBH and PABV which allows us to exhibit and offer artists’ works for sale in a new, simple to use and engaging way.

Harald Grote

Harald Grote, started painting before beginning his academic and professional career. His training for architecture included drawing, painting, sculpture and motion picture production. Harald Grote returned to painting when the practice of architecture increasingly employed computers as drawing tools. To continue practicing his artistic skills, he enrolled in various classes for drawing, painting and sculpture, among them Fleisher Memorial Institute, Woodmere Art Museum and others. Most weeks he joins drawing sessions with alumni of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. His work includes portrait, figure, landscape and still life in oil, watercolor and pastel. Artist Statement: Each painting is an adventure: It is an interaction between the artist and the subject out of which emerges a new creation an interplay of light, color and texture - unique to the moment. To be part of such a moment is to be fully alive. Exhibits 2007 2017______________________________________________________Work by Harald Grote has been shown among others at: Fleisher Memorial Institute, Philadelphia Sketch Club, Plastic Club of Philadelphia, Abington Art Center, Cheltenham Art Center, ACX- Artists Cultural Exchange, Greater Norristown Art League, Eastham Painters Guild (Eastham, MA), Manayunk-Roxborough Art Center
