Indira is an artist living in The Delaware Valley. She works with watercolors, oil and pastels. Most of her paintings are inspired by nature. Indira paints with an abstract realism style. The ever changing light, color and shapes presented in the natural canvas of nature and the sheer range and contrast of color all around her in everyday life stimulates her. Her art is an expression of joy. It is an attempt to capture pockets of fleeting moments. The beauty of everyday things inspires her to paint. Many of her works are done pleinair. She has been a self-taught artist, honing her skills by taking workshops with contemporary artists.Indira is actively involved in local Art groups and has exhibited in many juried art shows. She is a member of The American Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Watercolor Society, Greater Norristown Art League, Delaware Valley Art League and many other local art groups.
