A former long- term resident of Chester County, Pennsylvania, Ken Jacobsen is a retired telecommunications engineer who became fascinated with the process of taking photography through his wife Maryanne, a visual artist. Over the years, Maryanne taught him the artistic rules of composition that can create the illusion of depth and atmospheric perspective on a two dimensional surface. On their many vacations around the country and around the world, Ken would seek out the most fascinating elements of a scene, photograph them with sensitivity, and allow his wife to use them in her oil paintings. This mutually beneficial partnership has resulted in much success for Maryanne and the development of a keen photographic eye for Ken. Regardless of the elements- fog, rain, mist or vibrant sunlight, Ken has an innate ability to capture that fleeting moment in time in his timeless photographs of nature, children and Florida wildlife.
