Following a twenty-year career in the publishing business, Ms. LeMaire has returned to the world of art with a passion for painting. Whether painting in oil or pastel, the tactile qualities of each medium are a part of what attracts her€ the creamy, succulent nature of oils vs. the immediacy of pastel along with its luminescent quality. Nature and the local landscape provide much of the inspiration for her paintings with further inspiration coming from her travels, especially to the Western states.
Ms. LeMaire is an active member of the Artists Circle (board member), Artists Equity, the Delaware Valley Art League, Flying Colors, the French Creek Art Colony, Network, and other critique and art groups. A member of the Chester County Art Association, where she has earned multiple awards, and the Wayne Art Center, she also participates in a variety of festivals throughout the region.
Ms. LeMaire exhibits in juried, invitational, solo, and group shows in Southeastern Pennsylvania including the annual art show at Daylesford Abbey, Notre Dame Academy, St. Francis in the Field, the Meant to Be Gallery, the Z-Gallery, the Strodes Mill Gallery, the Artists Circle Art Show, the Flying Colors Art Show, the Penn Medical Center in Radnor and Valley Forge, and others. In addition to solo shows, Ms. LeMaire remains active having curated several art shows. Her work appears in numerous private collections throughout the country; she is represented by Strodes Mill Gallery in West Chester, PA and Mala Galleria in Kennett Square, PA.
While principally focusing on landscapes and seascapes, she has, under commission, produced a variety of portraiture as well. Ms. LeMaires portfolio of current art is available for consideration in both print and electronic formats. Contact her at
