I graduated with a BFA in painting from Tyler school of art in 1980 and was basically educated under the abstract expressionism doctrine.My passion for painting was however as a representational painter who paints from observation and in the past most of my work has been created in the studio.In the recent years, I have taken my paint box outdoors and enjoy the challenge of painting under light changing conditions. Nature is always changing and my attempt is to be able to capture within my own sensibilities, that moment when she speaks to me in color and shape.
