Elaine Lisle is a Philadelphia artist whose work emphasizes the immediacy of the moment. Her work often features architectural focal points, figures and reflections with vibrant color and contrast to emphasize the emotional context of the subject. She received a B of FA from the U of P and completed post-graduate study at PAFA. She has won regional and national awards, most recently receiving Honorable Mentions at 2014 P.A.Easton and the 2015 Philadelphia Sketch Club art of flower exhibit. She has exhibited widely on the East coast, and her richly painted oils are owned by numerous corporations, public institutions and individual collectors around the globe.
Lisle is represented by Gross McCleaf Gallery in Philadelphia and the Carega Gallery in New Hampshire. She was featured in International Artist Magazine in March 2014. She is on the faculty of the Main Line Art Center in Haverford, PA and has led painting workshops in Philadelphia as well as Southern France.
