ELISSA GORE
A former girl scout, medical illustrator and professor of fine art, this NYC resident grew up in rural SE Pennsylvania. She attended U Penn as an ungrad and also in the graduate school of fine arts. The agricultural and mountain landscapes from Virginia to Maine have inspired her for over thirty years. She has received many awards and her paintings are in over 50 public collections including two in the Art in Embassies program of the US State Dept. She is represented by Markel Fine Arts in NYC and at galleries as far away as California. She travels to paint as often as she can.
She showed solo, Drawn from Nature, at the Carlisle Arts Learning Center in Carlisle, PA in the summer of 2013. She teaches several workshops in landscape painting at the New York Botanical Garden each year. You will find her resume and more of her work online at: elissagore.net
