Judith Nentwig works primarily in oil, painting both en plein air and in her studio. Judith focuses on capturing the light in both landscape and still life paintings. Paying close attention to value, chroma and temperature she works to create images that express the beauty and nature of what she sees at a given point in time. In 1983 Judith earned a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Communications Design from Kutztown University. She worked as an art director in both the Philadelphia and Allentown areas for over ten years. After taking time to raise a family, Judith has returned to the art world as a painter. She immerses herself in classes, workshops and plein air events. Living in the Philadelphia area she is able to take advantage of the many art education opportunities including Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Wayne Art Center and Fleisher Art Memorial.
