You need JavaScript enabled to view it 610-429-8050 Artist's Biography Paul has always been fascinated with the magnificence of the great masters and began with one simple art class to explore his creative interests. He was instantly captivated at the process and methods of creative development and the course he would follow led to 10 years of intensive study. He studied for six years at Brandywine Atelier (now Studio Relievo) under Neilson Carlin and four years at Studio Incamminati under Nelson Shanks. His training in traditional realism includes the essentials of drawing and painting from cast, live figure, portrait, still life and landscape methods. Learning color theory, composition, modeling the form and the process to finish a painting were part of his evolution as an artist. Paul earned a B.S. from Widener University and studied Art with accomplished teachers such as Ted Seth Jacobs, Robert Liberace, Daniel Sprick, Michael Grimaldi, and John De Martin. Paul continues his art studies at various open studio classes including sessions at The Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. His passion and love of art is evident in his daily life, as he paints in oil and sketches almost every day. A continual journey to learn and grow his talents through visiting art museums, reading art history and researching techniques of the classical methods is an important part of his art progression. Some of Paul's favorite classic painters are Rembrandt, Caravaggio, Velazquez, Inness and Sorolla. Doing a landscape painting on the edge of a corn field or an extended figure pose in a studio inspires and challenges me on a continual basis, Paul states. My goal is to reach the footsteps of the great masters.
