Shauna has been painting professionally for 32 years and is facile in a variety of mediums including oil, pastel and watercolor. A former Resident Artist at Yellowstone National Park and more recently The New Britain Museum of American Art, Shauna is an elected member of Lyme art Association and CT Plein air Painters, and is a signature member of CT Pastel Society. She has exhibited with Oil Painters of America, Allied Artists of America, and Academic Artists (2013) Recent awards include the Cape Cod Art Association Art in New England, the Hudson Valley Art League, (2012, 2013), and the Renaissance Pastel International Exhibit, (2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012). Juried Paint Outs include St. Petersburg, FL in 2011 and Bradenton, FL in 2012. Shauna's work is saturated with light, color, and energy informed by many years of painting from life. Her paintings reflect a solid academic training as well as the ability to communicate the unique atmosphere and emotional connection within each scene.
